Tonight, you can find some of Atlanta’s hottest male celebs and models strutting their stuff on the catwalk to raise awareness and help the cause.

TJ Duckett, Niko Karatassos, Pano Karatassos, Stan Mukoro, Patrick T. Cooper, Richie Arpino, Rob Marciano, Adi Allushi, Reco Chapple, Scott Strumlauf, Vincent Martinez, Derek Blanks, George McKerrow, Lewis Perkins and more have taken a stand against Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) in a fun informal fashion show TONIGHT at Tongue & Groove.

The night is “Cocktails and Couture” and it’s being hosted by Drop Dead Gorgeous,a social justice organization, which utilizes the fashion and entertainment industries as its vehicle to reduce demand for Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC).

I got there a little bit early, so I went in and started looking around. There were tables everywhere full of people chatting over colorful plates of bright, fresh food while a man scurried around bussing areas, getting them ready for the next group of hungry diners. When Jessica arrived, she introduced me to the man I had seen working so hard as the Owner/Chef Chip Desormeaux. He joked and said he is a better Chef than a Busboy.

Chip has owned Brookhaven Bistro for about 2 1/2 years and no matter when you go, you will probably see him putting his whole heart into this restaurant. That hard work shows, because the food tastes great and is also fun to look at! We couldn’t decide on just one item, so we got a few different things and shared.

I was amazed when I saw the huge beautiful sandwiches on multigrain ciabatta, containers of curry tofu, hummus and other fresh items. And the prices? HALF of what you would pay at Whole Foods.

I have been gone for a long time! For the last six months, or so, I have been working as a product specialist for Lincoln Mercury at auto shows. No, I don’t have to tie on an itsy bitsy barely there bikini…but I DID get to wear some killer thigh high Stuart Weitzman boots! My job has taken me all over, and I have been gone so much, I would wake up IN MY OWN BED not knowing where I was. Sad? Yes.

With the 2010 auto show season coming to a close, I’m exhausted but so happy that I have made friendships that I know will last a very long time. The trips always seem long and the work hours are brutal, but my friends on the Lincoln Mercury team made it bearable. I don’t think I would have made it through the days without you guys being there, going through it with me.

Now, with more time on my hands, hopefully I’ll be able to get out more often and have my life back! To my Atlanta friends and family, thank you for being there for me when I needed support, a shoulder to cry on or someone to just listen to me vent. Thank you for standing by me even though I was not always here for you. I love you all!

A few weeks ago, my friends Shona, Cappy and I volunteered to go on TV and admit our discomfort with a particular part of our bodies; our abs!

For a segment on Fox5′s Good Day show, we paid a visit to Body Sculptor, where we got out butts kicked and abs worked. These people don’t mess around! They took Q100′s Bert Weiss (of the Bert Show) and worked him so hard that when he was done, he looked like he was carved out of stone…no joke.

As my crew and I made our way through the parking lot to find the party, there were creepers EVERYWHERE! Netherworld is one of the few haunted houses that actually has live actors out tormenting people before they even get inside for the real haunting. This one chased us into the party.

Once in the VIP area, we started off the night with a cocktail [for liquid courage, you know!] because everything inside looked like this joker…

For those of you who don’t know, Netherworld is rated one of the top 5 Haunted Houses in the NATION by Hauntworld Magazine. This year they are celebrating their 13th anniversary, so obviously they are doing something right.

Unlike other hauntings that only have one house; Netherworld has TWO terrifying worlds you can experience to ensure you will not go home dry.

The First is BLOOD NIGHT- a vampire extravaganza, complete with lethal vampire brides and savage warriors, flying vampires and eyeless blood-sucking creatures. Then there is the terrifying Puppet Room that was enough to send me back into therapy for my fear of dolls. Seriously, who lets an 8 year-old watch Childs Play!? If you don’t run like a baby back to your car after BLOOD NIGHT, head down to ZOMBIE RAMPAGE, where you will journey through a twisted laboratory where the manufacturing of an FDA-UNapproved ZOMBIE RAMPAGE energy drink goes terribly wrong… causing mutations, chaos and horrifying behavior.

We did both, and let me tell you, every man in my group lost their voice because they screamed like girls through the whole thing. IT’S WELL WORTH IT!!! And I got to see Meghan!

So, here I am. Sitting on my tear soaked floor in the middle of the remnants with my fancy pink mug of coffee looking, with puffy red eyes, at the only remaining corner that still resembles my place. I can’t take those things down- not yet. I’m clinging to it. It’s the only part of my apartment that reminds me that this is still my home…for four more days.

I’m going to take you in to one of my conversations last night.

[Scene:] A friend and I walk in to Whiskey Park for an event and go right to the bar to get a drink (we need one by the looks of the crowd). I’m not even standing at the bar for two minutes; this A-hole just about knocks me over trying to do a “subtle” bump into the girl at the bar trick to let me know he is there. I say, “excuse me” and turn away.

Jerk.

The bartender starts making our drinks and gets out the martini glasses.

“Excuse me [nice bartender guy], would you mind putting those drinks in tall glasses? Martini glasses are too cumbersome.”

“Sure no problem, its actually easier this way.”

Big dude is still bumping in to me and knocking my elbow…

“You just have to be difficult don’t you?!”

I think he was halfway kidding.

“No, martini glasses are messy…you get drunk people ramming themselves into you all night and end up with your drink all over you.”

“You don’t like to get dirty?”

“I don’t like having my drink all over me…(I see where this conversation is going)”

“You look like you would like it dirty!!!!!”

I begin fantasizing about my knee meeting his groin with such force it would make him puke. But, me being the lady that I am, I politely smile, tell him he has no idea and remind him that he will end up alone because he is a disgusting pig.

“So, you have a nice night.”
